TRIVIA: NOTJUSTALOGO
Federazione Italiana Carrom had been on the lookout for a suitable logo for some time after
its foundation. We wanted something suitably sober for official occasions but not boring and
which should convey something about carrom and at the same time about Italy and its culture.
It had to be clear and simple and not too obvious - (Michelangelo's Adam and his droopy finger
flicking a striker was just TOO dčja-vu). Eventually GIOVANNA MARTINELLI (founder member with a very low profile)
came up ith this:
A perfect replica of the rose window of the medieval church of San Francesco in Assisi, a typical example of the renaissance search for perfect patterns, OR had the Tuscan craftsman been to India and seen one of those beautiful timeless strikers?
